eToro’s gone a step further with eToro Money, a separate app that brings a dedicated e-money service into the mix.

Built outside the main trading platform, it’s designed to give eligible users more control, more convenience, and a smoother way to manage funds.

Think of it as your financial sidekick, sitting right next to your investment portfolio.

What I Found Out About eToro Money (After Actually Using It)

So, what’s the deal with eToro Money? After putting the app through its paces and digging into the fine print, a few things stood out:

You can get a Visa debit card – but only if you’re in a qualifying region and part of the right Club tier. This isn’t rolled out to everyone.

Deposits are free and instant – no waiting around and no hidden fees when you move money in.

Withdrawals are just as smooth – you can send funds straight from your trading account to your eToro Money balance instantly.

No conversion fees or subscription charges – it’s refreshingly clean on the cost front.

Two services in one – eToro Money offers both an e-money account and a crypto wallet. Each has its own setup, its own features, and its own geographic availability.

eToro vs. eToro Money: What’s the Actual Difference?

So you’ve heard of eToro. And now there’s eToro Money too?

If you’re scratching your head trying to figure out how they differ (or if you even need both), you’re not alone.

Let's keep this simple:

  • eToro is your main trading hub. It’s the platform where you buy and sell over 7,000 assets: stocks, crypto, ETFs, commodities, indices, you name it. This is where the action happens.
  • eToro Money, on the other hand, isn’t a trading platform. It’s an e-money account that works alongside your main eToro account. Think of it as your digital wallet. It handles transfers, withdrawals, and crypto movements behind the scenes, smoothly linking to your investment activity.

So in short:

eToro = where you invest

eToro Money = where your funds sit, move, or wait to be deployed

You’ll need both to manage trades and transfers efficiently, especially if you're working with crypto or moving funds off-platform.

Simple as that.

How to Fund Your eToro Money Account (2 Methods Explained)

Let’s take a look at the two main ways to top up your eToro Money account. Whether you’re based in the UK or the EU, there’s a route that gets your funds where they need to be.

1. Manual Bank Transfer

If you’re not in a rush, this is the standard method. It’s available to all users in supported regions like the UK and across the Eurozone.

Here’s what to do:

  1. Open your eToro Money app
  2. Tap “Add Funds” under your GBP or EUR balance (this depends on your region)
  3. Choose “Regular (manual) bank transfer”
  4. Once selected, the app will show your account details: sort code and account number for the UK, or IBAN for the EU.
  5. Now, initiate the transfer from your regular bank app or website. That’s it.

🕔 Timing: It typically takes 1–3 business days, depending on your bank and country. For Eurozone transfers, SEPA timelines usually apply.

2. Fast Bank Transfer (UK and select countries only)

Want the funds to land faster? If you’re in the UK or a few select supported countries, there’s a quicker way.

This one starts from your eToro trading platform, not the wallet app.

Here’s the process:

  1. Hit “Deposit Funds”
  2. Choose “eToro Money” as the payment method
  3. Tap “Top-up eToro Money balance”
  4. Enter the amount, then toggle on the option to “Automatically transfer these funds to my eToro Investment account” (optional but handy)
  5. Proceed via Volt
  6. Select your bank or use “Regular Bank Transfer” if your bank isn’t listed
  7. Follow the on-screen steps to authenticate and complete the process

Speed: If your bank supports it, the money shows up almost instantly in both your eToro Money wallet and your trading account, if you’ve toggled the auto-transfer.

The Physical eToro Money Visa Debit Card: Who Gets What?

Yes, there’s a physical eToro Visa debit card, and it does exactly what you'd expect. You can swipe, tap, shop online, and hit up the ATM. It’s tied directly to your eToro Money cash account and works just like any other Visa debit card.

But (and it’s a big one), availability depends on where you live and what Club tier you’re in:

United Kingdom

The card is open to all eToro Club members starting from Silver. That usually means you’ll need around $5,000 in realized equity.

Club tiers dictate which version of the card you get:

  • Silver, Gold, and Platinum members are on the Green Plan. You’ll get the standard Green eToro card.
  • Platinum+ and Diamond members move up to the Black Plan. That comes with a sleek Black metal card and extra perks.

Europe (EU countries)

The rules are tighter for this region.

The card is only available for Diamond-tier members. That’s around $250,000 in realized equity. No Green vs. Black distinction here, just the one tier, one card.

If you're in the UK and climbing the Club ranks, you’ve got options. If you're in the EU, you’ll need to reach the top to get in the game.

Take Note: You Can Only Use This via the App

You won’t find eToro Money on your desktop. It’s mobile-only, so you’ll need to grab the app.

Head over to the App Store (for iOS) or Play Store (for Android) and download the eToro Money app. That’s your entry point.

Mobile Operating System Minimum Requirements App Marketplace
Android Android 6.0 or higher Play Store
iOS iOS 14.0 or higher App Store

Once installed, log in using the same credentials you use for your trading account. You’ll get a verification code via SMS. Punch that in, and you’re in. No extra hoops or any separate sign-ups.

Just a quick setup, and you’ve got full access to eToro’s money management features right from your phone.

Using the e-Money Service

So, you’ve activated eToro Money. Now what?

Simple. Open the app on your phone or tablet. That’s your command center.

From here, you can:

  • Move money fast – Deposit funds into your trading account or pull them out instantly to your eToro Money balance.
  • Send and receive like a regular bank account – You get your own sort code, account number, and even an IBAN for international payments.
  • Spend with your eToro Visa card – Use your balance anywhere Visa is accepted. That means online, in-store, at your favorite coffee shop, wherever.

Whether you’re funding a trade, cashing out profits, or paying for lunch, everything flows through the same place. One app, multiple moves.
