From September 13, 2023, due to regulatory shifts, eToro users in Germany won't be able to initiate new positions to purchase actual cryptoassets. Instead, you'll have the option to open CFD positions. When used without leverage, these offer equivalent market exposure as trading the underlying cryptoasset. Note: this change doesn't impact current real crypto positions. Existing users in Germany can choose to maintain or close their positions at their discretion.
