Career History

Nolte started his career in the IT industry by holding various positions such as Analyst and Software Developer, first in his alma mater the University of KwalaZulu Natal, and then in 2CANA Solutions from 2006 to 2008. A financial crisis that hit South Africa hard in 2008 forced Nolte to migrate to London where he admittedly, became broke for the first few months he spent trying to look for work.

By 2009, Nolte has already found a job as Technical Lead of Cloud Computing for Telegraph Media Group where he worked until 2011. That same year, he founded a consulting start-up called Tquila. He first served as Principal Architect for a year before becoming Director of Innovation and finally, as Chief Technology Officer until 2015 when he sold it for an 8-figure sum to Accenture.

It was also in 2015 when Nolte first began trading on eToro. He became a Principal Director for Innovation & Technology at Accenture from 2015 to 2018, as a Columnist for the Evening Standard in London for six months in 2018. He was appointed as Chief Technology Officer of his new start-up venture called SalesTrip in 2018 until he left in 2021.

Today, Nolte serves as the Managing Director of Indaba Invest Limited and as an Investor Advisor at FutureBricks.

Trading in eToro

Wesley Nolte started trading on eToro in May 2015. A year after that, he joined the platform's Popular Investor Program. Having dabbled in stocks trading for more than a decade and a half before that, Nolte found the social network aspect of eToro as a new thing to him.

Soon after, he became enamored at the ease of use of the platform, its great interface and the speed of doing trading transactions. Before he became a popular trader copied by many investors, Nolte also maximized the social trading features of eToro by tapping into the community to bolster his strategy.

Learning the importance of diversifying, Nolte steadily built his portfolio until he achieved a total return of +550% in the last 5 years and an average yield of +30% during the same period.

Trading Methods

The South African-born and 30-something technology whiz and investing genius Nolte describes his trading style as "Risk-balanced, diverse and bodacious". To put it simply, Nolte boasts of a strategy that relies on diversifying his trades across United States-based technology stocks, currencies, cryptos and commodities — while maintaining a low-risk approach.

Currently, cryptos are Nolte's investing apple of the eye because he believes that cryptocurrencies will evenly balance the hierarchies to which our society and culture are built on — like re-arrange the economic activities of our capitalist society.

Nolte's other strategy is to maintain a short-term trading approach than the usual. He also uses leverage wisely from now and then. Since he is now being copied by many traders, Nolte puts in more effort to be more thorough with his technical, fundamental analysis of the economic shifts and the movement of different industries in the market.

Net Worth

A rock star trader on eToro since 2015, Nolte has inspired 15,000+ users to copy his trades and around 224,000 more to follow his every activity on eToro. He also has more than $5 million in copy assets under management.
